Alternate Interpretation

The scene that I chose to analyze for Death of a Salesman has some strong implications in its use of dialogue and the way it interacts with character. The props used and environment also had interesting implications on the way the characters were interpreted. Each character wore clothing distinctly different from the other, an item that compounded the inter-character relationship/conflict that this scene introduced. In addition the stage was left nearly bare, with only the beds really being utilized to display the room. This added to the way the characters and their motivations were understood.
